Footy is in turmoil right now.So much going on.So many negative things happening.
Fixture changes, players breaking protocols, players suggesting that the hubs are not for them or maybe their team.
WA and Sa have done their bit to keep the game alive.Time for something back from the Vics.It would be nice to have them accept what the other two states have done.
Toughen up fellas. If you want to keep the game moving, take the bad with the good.
Last time it was Conor McKenna, this time Steele Sidebottom.
Confused about what happened, what he can and can't do!!! Gimmee break. How many times do they have to be told.
A week that could give us a real indication as tio how the QLD teams are going. Especially the Suns.Away from home and down to Kardinya park.A tough gig.
Carlton V Saints.Who would have thought at the beginning of the season, this would be a blockbuster. If there were crowds.
Carlton have been a bit of a surprise so far.All the games they have played have been cliff hangers, bar the 24 point loss to the Tigers.Maybe the Teague train is actually beginning to gain momentum.
The Saints have also been with their two wins against the Doggies and the Tigers.Their recruiting, at the moment, looks to be good.Brad Hill providing so much run for them.
A tough game to pick, both in good form.
With the toss of a coin, Carlton.
Pies V Bombers.
The Pies have been a bit topsy turvy so far.Good one week not so the next.but when on song they are hard to beat.Maybe the turmoil this week will upset them.Who knows!
Essendon.A game behind with the Melbourne game being put off.Two close wins and a close draw.So travelling pretty well at the moment.
I think form tells me to pick the Pies.
Eagles V Swans.
Have to say that the Eagles have been totally disappointing since locating to the hub,They have looked a mere shadow of the team from the past couple of years. Are they disgruntled about being in the hub.Are they blooding new players. Are some losing the passion.A load of questions to be asked. But one thing is for sure, they need a win this week to keep in the mix.
Swans, are 2&2.They have shown some form , but then have been disappointing,Seems that they are not the fearsome competitors they used to be.Like the Eagles a lot of questions to be asked. Not sure what the answers will be.
The toss at the two up ring told me that the Eagles will win this one.
Cats V Suns.
Cats are 2&2.A couple of close ones for a win and a loss.
A huge weekend for the club.Gary Ablett plays his 350th and Joel Selwood plays his 300th.Good luck to them both,
A huge incentive for the Cats players to lift.
The Suns have so far been the real surprise of the season.Sitting second on the ladder with three wins and a loss. That loss was to top of the ladder Port Power. They belted the Eagles and Crows, but had to fight hard to beat the Dockers.
I think that Geelong will have far too much to [play for in this one.Geelong for me.
Bulldogs V North.
The Doggies wins have been good,But their losses have not been good. They play the run and stun game, and when it is working will run most sides ragged. But when it is stopped, they look a bit ordinary.
Roos. Two wins to start the season ,but then two losses. The game last week against the Hawks was a shocker.Only a late surge, by the Roos, gave the game any credence.
Only the fact that the Doggies have winning form will I pick them.
Doggies for me.
Lions V Port.
A one and three game this one.
Lions are travelling very well right now and looking a real threat to all.Playing a hard working brand of football and Lachie Neale providing plenty of class.
Port are sweeping all before them at the moment.Sitting pretty on top of the ladder. But this will be a daunting task for them at the Gabba.A team of youth and experience with a power house forward in Charlie Dixon, giving them a focal point.
I think that the Lions can bring the Power undone in this one.
Crows V Dockers.
The Crows so far have been the real disappointment of the year.A team that has failed to look like firing a shot so far.One close loss and three reasonable big losses. Not much going their way right now.
Dockers, have been competitive in all four games, but every game have failed in one quarter. This has cost them dearly,Their biggest loss so far has been 29 points to ladder leaders Port Adelaide.
Tipping with my heart on this one.Dockers.
Dees V Tigers.
Melbournes sole win was against Carlton, by a point. Not sure that they will be giving much this year.
Tigers are up and down. Two losses, a win and a draw. And have not looked impressive in any of the games. At the moment, this is a team that is far away from the team that lifted the Holy Grail last year. But , they seldom stay down for long. But they like a few other contenders(or pretenders) need to get their finger out quick smart.
Tigers for me.
Giants V Hawks.
The Neeshies have two good wins so far, against the Cats and Pies. But have played some ordinary football at times.A team that just bubbles with talent, but need to get into a stride pretty quickly.
Hawks , finished up falling over the line last week against a fast finishing North.Or were the Hawks feeling the pinch of age.
Giants for me.
.After a slow start last week, I flew home to finish with six winners.
Another week done and dusted.
I hope you all have a great weekend.
good tipping.I hope your team wins, as long as it isn't the other mob.
